DAPITAN CITY- The number of tourist arrival in Zamboanga del Norte will continue to rise as 1,200 Chinese tourists booked to visit Dapitan City in early 2017. This is according to Tourism Assistant Secretary Frederick Alegre. Despite negative publicity brought by issues on peace and order, Department of Tourism vowed to bring not only Dapitan but the entire Mindanao as well to global tourism this year.
"We intend to bring Chinese tourists directly to Dapitan." Alegre said. Last year, it can be recalled that China had lifted travel advisory against the Philippines.
The Chinese will enjoy several diving spots 5 minutes away from the city or they can be golfing, and at the end of the day, they can have a great food and rest at 5-star Dakak beach resort.
