From 59,577 tourist arrival last 2014, Cotabato City garnered 241.03% increase posting 203,176 tourist arrival in 2015, the largest in SOX region. It surpassed its target tourist arrival which was 189,155 by 14,021. The city also holds the highest hotel occupancy rate in 2015 garnering 63.97%, surpassing the original target which was 55%. The city with the second highest hotel occupancy rate in SOX is Kidapawan with 47.97% followed by General Santos City with 40.08%. See data from NEDA Region 12 below.

Hotel rate in Cotabato can go as high as P4,800.00. There are several tourist spots in the city which include the Grand Mosque, also called as Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Masjid which costed US$48 million, and the new Cotabato City Hall.
