New wage order No. RTWPB-XI-19 to be effective this coming May 2017 will increase daily minimum wage rate in cities of Davao, Digos, Island Garden of Samal, Tagum, Panabo, Mati, and the Provinces of Davao del Sur, Davao del Norte, Davao Oriental, and Compostela Valley, from P312.00 to P340.00. The increase had been posted already in Department of Labor and Employment's (DOLE) website with additional information published at Mindanao Times on December 01, 2016.

For workers in in Retail/Service Employing not more than 10 workers, P325.00 will be the daily minimum wage rate. For workers in Agriculture, P28.00 basic wage per day upon will be added effectivity and P5.00 COLA integration effective May 1, 2017, making the daily minimum wage for workers under Agriculture sector P335.00. For workers in Non-Agriculture/Industrial/Commercial and Retail/Service Employing more than 10 workers, P340.00 daily minimum wage rate will be implemented.
