CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY- An executive order will be issued for the removal of the so-called "spaghetti wires" dangling above the streets of Cagayan de Oro. City Councilor Teodulfo Lao Jr., chair of public utility committee announced that the task force responsible for monitoring these dangling wires will be revived. Accordingly, the expenses spent for the removal of wires will be passed on to its owners.

There was a campaign last time to get rid of spaghetti wires although it lacked implementing rules and regulations. Before, the proposal was to organize and bundle up the electric, cable, telephone and other wires. This time, it will be a complete removal.

Under-ground cabling was never mentioned though.
